DVD Reclaiming the Inner Worlds

NEU: Reclaiming the Inner Worlds

with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
Recorded December 3, 2012 at the Mercy Center, Burlingame, California

An awareness of the inner worlds is an essential part of our human heritage—those worlds that are invisible to our physical sight, but exist in other dimensions of reality. However, this awareness has been censored by rational consciousness and our present culture. This talk explores our need to reclaim our connection to these realities, to return to the greater wholeness to which we belong.

Spiritual Ecology Spiritual Ecology

with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
Recorded December 3, 2011 at the Mercy Center, Burlingame, California

What are the spiritual roots of our present ecological crisis?

While we are confronted by the tangible threats of global warming and species depletion, the loss of the sacred is as devastating to our soul and the soul of the world. And yet this inner tragedy is mostly hidden from our consciousness. But if we are to restore the balance in our world, we need to go beneath the surface to heal the split between spirit and matter and help to bring the sacred back into life.

Final Talks DVD Where the Two Seas Meet:
Final Talks: Sufism and the West

with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
Recorded February 7 and March 21, 2010 in Tiburon, California

These are the final two talks from the introductory series on Sufism,
The Sufi Path of Love and the Secrets of Mystical Oneness.

dvd 1. Separation and Union
The first talk explores the central Sufi theme of the journey from separation to union, and the longing of the heart that draws the wayfarer Home. This journey begins with the pain of separation—the lover separate from the Beloved—and finally reveals the secret of divine union, that the lover and Beloved were always united, are always one.

dvd 1:

1. Talk, 56 min
2. Audience Questions, 30 min

dvd 2. Sufism's Contribution to the West
The second talk looks at the contribution Sufism has made to our Western civilization, from its presence in Andalusia at the time of Moorish Spain, to its journey in the last century to America. Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee explores some of the central qualities that it has brought to the West: the secrets of mystical love and the lived experience of divine oneness, the unity of being. Finally he includes the subject of the awliyâ, the friends of God who look after the spiritual well-being of the world.

dvd 2:

1. Talk, 52 min
2. Audience Questions, 29 min

Where the Two Seas Meet Where the Two Seas Meet: Meditation

with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
Recorded December 13, 2009 in Tiburon, California

Es ist eine deutsche Übersetzung des englischen Transkripts erhältlich: Vortrag / Fragen und Antworten

This third talk from the five event series, The Sufi Path of Love and the Secrets of Mystical Oneness, explores the states of meditation that can be experienced through the meditation of the heart. Away from the ever-chattering mind, first one needs to create an inner space of silence and listening within the heart, where one can come closer to the love and presence that reside within the heart, and slowly learn to be absorbed by love.
Then the meditation takes one deeper into the oneness that belongs to our divine nature: the lover merges within the heart into the states of dhyana, which is a state of abstraction of the senses and then samadhi, the higher consciousness of the Self. Beyond the Self are the states of non-being, the uncreated nothingness that is the real home of the mystic.

Three video clips from this recording are available for online viewing: December 13th clips, Meditation.

In answer to one question this present time of transition is explored from an archetypal perspective.
